POLLINATORS I: BEES AND BUTTERFLIES

Saturday, Sept 28th 11am-3pm Cost $30

Join us as naturalist Sarah Dalton of Columbus Metro Parks introduces you to fun science with  butterflies, teaches easy raising techniques and even may tag Monarchs that are migrating through our park! After lunch, Denise Ellsworth, from the OSU Department of  Entomology/OSU            Extension, will talk about gardening for pollinators and bee ID! 

 

POLLINATORS II: NATIVE PLANTS AND HONEYBEES

Saturday, Oct. 12th: 11am-3pm Cost $30

Come learn about our Ohio’s many fascinating native plants, and how you can incorporate them into your home gardens with Linda Johnson of Scioto Gardens. Native plants will be on hand for sale! In the afternoon, Al Tuttle, Aullwood's beekeeper and owner of Eagle Ridge Apiaries, will talk about the incredible life cycle of honeybees. Taste some honey, see equipment beekeepers use and discover life as a honeybee.
